women's FAB groups: fellowship & Bible discussion
Two women's groups currently meet in homes and follow what you might call a self-paced, independent study. This is different from the typical structured studies that most folks are used to.
It's loosely based on the concepts founded by Salt and Light, where each person reads the Bible at her own pace and makes notes about what she's observing or learning; also, Scripture memory is an option but not a requirement, and it's always enveloped with grace!
Everyone is usually in a different part of Scripture and yet it's not uncommon that the Lord will tie each person's notes together with what we call a "golden thread," always a confirmation of His work within us.
What to Expect
The groups begin with some fellowship time, whether that's catching up on life, ministering to specific needs through listening, prayer, and encouragement, or occasionally trying to decompress from current events and to get re-centered on the Word and its power.
After that, if anyone wants to do a memory verse, she can, and then it's time for each woman to share what she's been reading and what the Lord has been revealing to her.
It's a casual, relaxed atmosphere! Bring your own coffee, tea, or whatever.
Where and When
The Tuesday morning group meets in Eustis from 9:00-11:00.
